Emmie turned 5 years old..... aaagh, my baby!

She reminds me all the time that she gets to go to Jakes school now, she says..
"Mom? tomorrow I can go to Jakes school?"..... everyday.

She really wanted a friend party.... I gave in. I've tried the friend party before and it completely stresses me out, I don't know why? Having a million hungry, hyper kids all at once, in my little homethat is very loud because of the wood floors is a little crazy, so I called in the calvary to help...

After a magical day at Disneyland these boys would find more energy to have pinball competitions.

Yes this is going to be a post to let everyone in my blogging world know that TAYLOR is AWESOME!!

Seriously, just look at this picture!

I am so grateful for Taylor and for the example he is to our family.

He is humble, he never expects anything, he never asks for anything, he is grateful for everything.

He is funny and witty. He has the best smile and it is very contagious!

Tay is a hard worker and very smart (Like Mikey) He can figure things out, good thing cause his dad and I know nothing :)

He is just a good boy! (Did that sound funny? Becuase its true!)

So it was 2:30 am in the morning in December when I was woke up by this strange all to familiar sound...... (Brie and Maddie, you know the sound)

Whoooshaaaawhooshhhhhh

My window swung open and I jumped up on my bed to see what the heck was going on out side.

I saw my trampoline horizontal flying through the air and all I can remember was very bad words coming out of my mouth.... it freaked me out!

Long story short....

Mini tornado through our yard

Caused trampoline to take flight

Trampoline caught power line

Powerline was connected to meter which was connected to house

Meter ripped off of house

Power line swung through our window... breaking it!

Emergency call to Rocky Mountain Power

Emergency call to our "favorite" electrician

Breakfast and getting ready for school by candle light

15 hours later we had power

There is nothing like fresh bottled peaches at our house (ask Austin). They don't last long (it's like Christmas morning... you prepare and prepare and then it's over in 2 seconds) Thanks to my hubby (he thinks I have alot of time on my hands) for bringing home 5 cases of peaches PLUS 2 cases from our tree and we can't forget the other 4 from a neighbor (hubby wasn't sure we had enough), needless to say I was swimming in peaches. Good thing I recruited a helper!

It might have took my lil' princess all day to fill this jar but Em did it all by herself. She peeled the peach, diced the peach and filled the jar....

She was so proud and couldn't wait to show dad! Love her :)

This past weekend I flew out to San Fransisco...

You want to know why?

I was offered an incredible opportunity for a job I can do from home. I am now a Contractor for PG&E

At PG&E's expense........

I flew in Thursday night, stayed at the Hyatt... which had the most comfortable bed. I surrounded my self with all the down pillows and slept like a baby. Maybe it's because I didn't have my princess kicking me in the back :) I ordered room service for breakfast and pampered myself before the Friday morning interviews.

With the help from my Aunt Shelly, she put together my corporate look, good thing cause I would have just shown up in jeans, T-shirt and flip flops.

I was pretty nervous to have to sit in front of big wigs but they were all so nice, down to earth and made me feel really comfortable.

I got the Job!!!

I am so excited for this new adventure!!!

And what made this weekend even better....I got to spend time with

Terri and family!

I went to the YW General Meeting Last night.

If you haven't heard me say this before..... I love Pres. Uchdorf.

His talk was amazing.

He started out by telling the fairy tale stories of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel.

How each of these princess's had to over come adversity to get to their happily ever after's.

It was powerful and amazing.

....and they lived happily ever after.

We had a great time playing in parks, driving up a really curvy road to Shaver Lake, eating at the Meat market, going to Trader Joes for the first time and driving 45 miles to Hanford to test one of the TOP 10 ice cream parlors in the nation.....

Lyndsey was invited back for the Alumni UTAH/BYU Volleyball game. Mom and Dad were in Vegas for their fun little getaway, so Ron and I were invited to go in their place......... Lynds you rock............We had a great time!

We are completely terrified of anything that buzzes, flies, crawls or STINGS!

(Or dad teasing us with a stick/grass)

Returning from a great walk up the canyon, still on the trail,

Kathy (my HERO) notices a bee on her stroller. Kathy, struck with fear, begins to do the traditional spazz dance whenever there is a buzzing, flying, crawling, stingy MONSTER present. (Kinda reminds me of Elaine)

I freaked out and start running the opposite direction while Jake my youngest boy decides to help these wacko moms. Kathy kept yelling for a stick, by this time she is almost frozen in fear... I kept telling Jake to get a stick.... but I think he was a little embarrassed, he didn't know quite what to do. So I being the oldest decided to get the stick and hand it to Kathy and then run back to my spot, I ain't gonna get the sucka!

Kathy some how guided the Bee to a jacket that was on her stroller, out of panic she yanked the jacket and the bee flew away..... sheesh, what a day, what? You want more? Oh Ok....

"Is it gone?" I ask

"Ya I it flew away" Kathy

I turned and proceeded to walk, and then all "H" broke loose, SERIOUSLY!!!

"Kim.... the bee...it's on your back"

I then started my own traditional spazz dance. We were both screaming and yelling, the poor kids just sat there with their mouths open in awe, even the old couple walking towards us were shocked at the outburst.

"Kim STOP it's crawling up your hair!"

"What? get it off, get it off...."

And like any "Hero" of mine would do....

Kathy took the very Jacket she was holding and whipped it as hard as she could across my face, leaving a nice welt beneath my ear... even broke the skin!

(I felt like Rocky Balboa being hit in slow motion, for all to see.. remember the old couple?

They had been watching the whole time)

Funny thing is she missed the bee....

I haven't laughed like that in a long time!

#6....... Bright pink, Easter egg colored lipstick.... back in the day I made fun of my sister wearing this but secretly was jealous cause she looked so good in it!

#5....... The Crimper..... back in the day I knew how to use it and didn't singe my hair the first time I crimped, I also don't remember my hair looking like I stuck my finger in the light socket.

#4...... Black Eye Liner...... Back in the day I would out line my whole eye, even the inside. I realized how painful that can be if you miss your inner eye...... ouch!

#3....... Spending 2 hours getting ready.... back in the day, that was back in the day!

#2....... Being with my sister's and cousin's..... back in the day we would spend all night getting ready to go to "The Palace"..... Good times!

#1....... Feeling' young?????... Back in the day I would dance all night long, be part of the "Mosh Pit" at a concert and live on 2 hours of sleep, now? I tried to keep up with the dancing, jumped up and down in the "Mosh Pit" and had 4 hours of sleep...... and totally paid for it the next day. Couldn't walk with out saying ouch and could barely keep my eyes open.

But having the feeling of being 16 again........

It all started with a dozen roses. My husband and his brother decided to surprise their wives with a weekend getaway.

(Sorry about the picture.. that's my man... and the only place he knows to put his hand)

We left early Saturday morning and we came home late Sunday night.

This is the view out the airplane window, I actually had my eyes open through a flight. Usually I think about the death trap I'm in and the crash landing, the turbulence, the jets becoming ever so quiet.. get the picture, I hate to fly. This time it was pretty good.

Our destination... DISNEYLAND, with out the kids!
We drove straight to the Hotel we were staying in... Disney's Grand California Hotel!!

Check in and then off we went to be kids.

We ate dinner ate the Blue Bayou, you know the Restaurant inside Pirates.. the one I always wish I could eat at when I'm on the ride. By the way the food was spectacular!

That morning we drove to Beverly Hills and did a little sight seeing, then went to Universal Studios... first time!

LOVED IT!!!!!

Then my camera died......

It was a perfect quickie!!!!

And we couldn't have gone with out the help of my fabulous brother RY RY, you are the best!

Let me tell you a tale of one tough kid...

This little boy was on his way to school this morning. Walking through the ice and snow from a one day old snow storm. Not even one house away from his very own, a mailbox jumped out and bit him! He, thinking.. ouch that hurt, no big deal....and off to school he went.

During the morning class a little girl came to this boy and asked....why is your hair red? The boy, shocked went to the mirror and saw that indeed his hair was red. He then walked up to the Teacher and calmly said... I cut my head walking to school today The Teacher sent him to the office immediately....

This little boys mom had been home all morning long enjoying the sounds of saws, nail guns and the smell of fresh lumber... you see She got her wish granted to finish the basement.

Her sister called, they talked forever about everything. But as soon as she hung up the phone, it rang again... "Um, your son is here at the office and his head is bleeding, he might need stitches"

Long story short..... Jake is one tough, patient kid!

Only 3 stitches later and he still forgave me for talking on the phone forever

Do you have one of those kids that just seem to lose everything? You know that kid that has something one minute, walks in the other room and comes back empty handed... which the item they had is never seen on the face of this earth again?

I DO!!

For example Austin receives rewards at school, in turn he exchanges them for little prizes, his favorite so far is a little green haired troll doll, but he lost it. He earns money for certain little jobs, I tell him to go put it in your bank so you know where it is when you want to buy something, but it's never there... it's lost!

There has been a certain DS game missing for some time. A game Austin just had to have, he would die if he didn't get it, the world could end if he didn't get it, and so Santa brought it to him in 2007.
It has been missing for 7 months +! We have searched in and out, high and low, around and underneath... nothing!
I have a front end loader washer, this morning as I was trying to be domestic, I noticed a little troll doll stuck in between the rubber part of the door holding the infamous DS game...

WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!

It has been in my washer for over 7 months along with that little green haired troll doll. Wet, worn and YES it still works!!!

I can't wait to give them to Austin!

You know when you have that awful feeling that something isn't right? Well that feeling happened last night (Actually October 28),

**See I have good intentions to blog, when I remember to post**

HERE'S MY STORY...

I'm not one that is known to break the rules when it comes to parking.
You see yesterday my sister had her baby at the U of U, A.K.A the construction zone from H.E. double hockey sticks. My first parking job was in the wrong area, PCMC, my second attempt was in a really narrow stall next to 2 monster trucks and finally my third attempt was in the stall next to the elevators... PERFECT! I even had a guy walking up behind me saying, "you can't get anymore perfect than that" meaning the parking job, I know what you are thinking, I thought it was me also..hehehehe! Now keep in mind there is alot of construction going on and it was a maze just to get into the hospital. So I made a mental note of how to get back to the parking garage. I arrived a little after 3 pm and Tracy had little Jack, all 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches, after 6 pm..

After cooing, loving and adoring my new little Nephew I decided I better get home to my family.... this is where the climax of the story begins...
I followed the map in my head to find the garage and this is what I came to....

"What the.......? Where is my car?"

I immediately went into the Hospital to find some one to help me locate it or find out who towed it. No one was around, of course... use courtesy phone after hours for Parking help....

SO I got on the phone with Joe and asked him a series of questions, "no we don't have your car, call the University police"......no we don't tow cars from the Hospital, call the Hospital........ "That is scary you better call the City police.... by that time I was really nervous and was seriously going to break down and cry...."Who would steal my car?"

I spent almost an hour searching and calling and finaly swallowed my pride and went back up to the Labor and Delivery waiting room and found my brother in law...

"Ryan, will you help me find my car?

Ry reply's.. "I just passed it in the garage"

Me.. "I was just there."

Ry.. "are you sure? I just saw it, it's a little dirty right?"

Me... "I'm going back down there, and if it's not there I'll call you"

Ry... "It's on the 4th floor"

Me... " There is no 4th floor"

Ry... starts to laugh....

Me.. speechless!

So, relieved to find my car I jumped inside, called Ry to thank him and then started to laugh.
Think that's the end..... oh no, there's more..

I absolutely hate putting gas in my car, I know exactly how far I can go when the light comes on... so I thought....

The light came on..."I know I can make it to PG Maceys, no problem!"

I made it to AF exit and ran out, drifted off the freeway into the Park N Ride, at night, alone.......Believe me, that is not a good feeling!

I called my Hero and all he could do was laugh as I sat there and cried....

I know someday this will make for a good "analogy" lesson, but for now... I'm hitching a ride from someone else next time.

This is an reenactment of what actually happened earlier that evening.....
At the entrance of my parents house is a big, beautiful, flowering, ivy growing, shrub... for some wonderful reason a family of bees have decided that, the shrub would make a perfect home for their brothers, sisters, cousin's, Aunts, Uncles, mom's, dad's, friends, friends of friends, boyfriends, girlfriends... do you get the picture? With my 2 Aunts and cousin in the car I went bookin' out of the house and started my evening off like this....

So lady like, don't you think? I gave my Aunts a scare and me a good laugh!

I was able to go to the Women's Conference with my mom, Sister, Aunts and cousin. My Aunt Shauna was part of the chior that night, she had a few extra tickets that were given to her by her sister in law who is Pres. Monson's secretary.... so long story short, I was one lucky girl to be sitting in the Monson family section front and center! Thank you Christy, Aunt Shauna and mom for that awesome night!

My Lil' Bro asked me to arrange some flowers for him for a special some one's birthday. Being in the flower business in my earlier days (not that long ago) I was excited to play with flowers again.... All I can say is, she is one lucky girl! They were spectacular, this photo is what was left out of her huge bouquet...

Yesterday was our 15 year anniversary, these flowers were brought home by my "Hunk O Burnin' Love" I got to play with flowers again, talk about being spoiled with some thing you love! These roses were so beautiful I only wanted them to stand out, so I stripped them of there leaves... Don't you agree?

Can I just say she is the best!

My friend, that I have had forever, is going through a hard time and so I called Tracy up and mentioned a night of pampering was needed for my friend... with out hesitation she said..

"Bring her up and we'll take care of her"

We both were treated and spoiled to a Full Body Sugar Scrub, yummy food, some awkward laughs... you see we were in the buff on a table being scrubbed down with sugar, of course at separate times.. and not to mention serenaded by a very happy golfer that had a few to many drinks at dinner.

My Sista' Kathy sale's Modbe, makes super cute jewlery and listen's to pregnant women all day... Now she is a super woman! She invited me to go to the annual Modbe fashion show last weekend. It was a 2 day affair at Thanksgiving point..... clearance shopping, yummy food, pilates moves, raffle ticket (which won me a Yoga mat) and yummy luncheon award show.... and then some more shopping! Thanks to Kathy I was spoiled yet again... I am always up for a little girl time!

Last night I spent some good old fashion fun, that's what we call it at my house, cutting my boys over due, over grown, beastly hair.
This morning I looked at my very handsome boys and asked...
"Who are you and what did you do with my boys?"
No response....
"Where did all that hair go?"
"You both look so handsome!" "I can't believe how much hair you had..." " Your friends won't know who you are, maybe they will think you are a twin"
Do you get my point? I was trying to see who would awnser me first by bugging them so much one of them would have to awnser...
Jake, very distracted by the game he was playing, yes I am a mama who let's my kiddos play video games in the morning, Said....
"That's cause it's falling out." followed by a low little giggle from Austin who was focusing on his game, then they both continued playing their game. It made me laugh! Jake won!

All you need is sprite and a popsicle.

Mash the popsicle still in the wrapper, of course, using a hammer, pour it in your favorite summer time cup and add a little sprite...Whaalaa.... SLURPIES! I was surprised at how yummy this was!

My Cousin's sister- in -law was in a horrible plane accident. Nie Nie has burns over 8o% of her body and her husband has burns over 30% of his body, the pilot passed away soon after the accident. I have been reading updates from Nie's sister's blog everyday, I am so amazed by all those that want to help this sweet family. Many just know her through her blog.. it's so amazing to see the "good Samaritan" in others.

I came across someone today that is.....
well, my Grandma B would call him a "Sour Puss" (bless her little heart)
I approached this man with very good intentions hoping that a matter was cleared up... Oh boy.... you could cut the tention in the air with a feather. He was rude! His wife, normaly very pleasant gave me the cold shoulder.... The funny thing is, I had no part of this "so called" problem. I was honestly trying to help out. You know what.... instead of making me really upset, MR. Rude actually made my day, I laughed at the fact of how silly he was acting, he is like a million years older then me, isn't he suppose to be the example, I am suppose to learn from my elders... I think he was just waiting for the perfect moment, since he woke up, to be mean to someone. I happened to be that special someone.
It kinda gives me a good feeling knowing I helped him out like that.. I'm sure I made his day....

You know what the best feeling in the world is?

I returned from our yearly trip to Escalante yesterday... all healthy eating habits and exercise don't even cross my mind during this time, there were way too many Peanut butter bars just sitting around, cinnamon bears hiding in my purse (can you imagine?), the Phillips traveling trail mix was found in the car, camp site and hotel room (M&M's, Twizzler bites and cashews) and of course I had to have in hand at all times.. Diet Dr. Pepper, which I think is funny to say in a sentence with sugar involved... hey it's part of a "Healthy Diet"!

So now what....

I will get back on track come Monday morning (that is said way to often in my vocab)...
It's Monday morning, I got up bright and early (6 am I might add) had a great 5 mile walk, pushed it even harder, sweatin', burnin' all the junk I ate.... feelin' pretty dang good...

Then I returned home and sitting there on my kitchen counter was the last of "Trail Mix"! I believe I heard it say ... EAT ME!! I tried really hard not to listen, really hard....

And so again,

I ate it, I ate it all!

Work out... sab-bo-taushed!!

My boys have wanted a puppy or a kitty for the longest time. When we moved to PG 3 years ago this month I told them we would get a puppy. To our surprise I got prego, yeah!! I thought, good excuse to tell the boys... sorry no pets around a new baby, plus mom will have her hands full... how could I take care of a dog? Well time has passed and they are now bugging me again, what to do? I am for sure not getting pregnant again!!!!
So I've used these reason's every time they ask......

1. Cute little puppies whine and bark all night long

2. Kitty's grow up to be big cat's with "Attitude"

3. We need a place to put a dog, cause it ain't coming in my house!

4. We need to put up a fence to keep the dog in the yard and then we need a kennel

to keep the dog out of the yard

5. Dogs like to dig holes, we could get hurt by a hidden hole, no really!

6. I already have enough cat's using my flower beds as their toilets, why add another?

7. I think being a "grandparent" to a dog is way better...

you can love them and then send them home.

8. They stink!!

(We didn't ask for this reason......)
9.. but the best reason of all came to our family 2 years ago.....

and bless her little heart for standing in this line in Heaven....

Em went with me today to drop some things off to a friend, my friend has dogs and cats!

They are super cute and I have enjoyed teasing, I mean playing with them..... I

knew Emmie had allergies to animals but not to the saliva of a dog.

We were there for no more then 5 min and the dog licked her face, she immediately broke out in fever blisters and hives right where the dang dog licked her face... can you see? Her left side! So needless to sat we rushed her home threw her in the bath and gave her a good dose of Benydryl....

Good enough reason for me!

Em has survived the "Ogar" face lift... she is feeling much better, eye still a little swollen, fever blister's gone and mom has forgiven the dog.

****Fourth of July****

My camera was dead so these are the only pictures I have of the fourth...

This was my first time run/walking in the Freedom 5K.. Thanks Kathy for pushing me!

Emmie slept the whole way! I was only 4 min after Kathy!!

After the 5K we went and met all the cousins at our family spot for the Parade...

We all decided to go spend the afternoon with the Griffin family for their annual 4th of July BBQ. This was a first for our family. With Grandma Burgon's birthday being on the 4th of July we have always gone with my family. I'm glad we went! We had a great time and yummy food!

That evening we met at our favorite spot for fireworks and listened to the Music from Stadium of Fire, enjoyed pizza and lit off a few of our own fireworks.

July 3rd... Balloon Fest

This was our first time at the Balloon festival.. and we loved it, new family tradition!

We put Emmie on her very first Carnie ride. As you can see she didn't last long, I know exactly how she feels. So needless to say Jake had to ride the Kiddie ride all by himself and this is what he thought of it....

Em's daddy won her, her first stuffed animal... a pink pig of course!

But they sure had fun!!

This was our first time jumping into Deer Creek.....this year!

Yes you're right.... my boys are trying to bury themselves in "Utah" sand... hey it's the closest thing we have to a beach... what are you going to do?

I love a good sweat, last year my friend took me on her "daily walk". She said it has a killer hill and is 5 miles long ... oh yea I'm all over that! She was right, the hill is a killer hill, just thinking about it makes me want to cry, huff and puff and keep telling myself .. "Just a little further... almost there, come Griffin!"

So when I'm Feeling a little sluggish and need an extra boost of "feel Goods"

I decide to take on the hill!

Of course, I only do it when I feel the time is right... I'm not perfect, maybe that's why I still have the "love" handles.... hhhmmm, mental note to self.... check!!

Anyway, the time felt right this morning and and I left with excitement to face the challenge! I had all my favorite songs on my ipod but there was one that absolutely helped me up the hill..... and I am indeed grateful for

Fun Family Friday night!

It has been along time since we have done this... when I think about it, it was back in the good old Spanish Fork days... when friends and neighbors would gather and chat all night long around a fire pit... and our kids would let us know when it was time for bed..... Good times!!!

Tonight we made home made pizza's.. personal pan of course and Roasted marshmallows over the BBQ.. (dad threw away our fire pit, due to rust)...Thanks Lynds and Parker for coming over and "crashing" the fun, your welcome any time!!

Last Sunday the YW were asked to share their experiences from camp, in Sacrament Meeting. The leaders were asked to speak also, that meant me..... NOOOOOO!! I hate speaking in front of people, it is so out of my comfort zone. You see when I prepare for a talk, in my mind every thing is said perfectly, my talks are always well worded and I don't skip a beat, but what actually happens is when I open my mouth every word becomes another language, my words get all mixed up and they don't make sense at all... (A.K.A Museum Director in, Night at the Museum)

It seems to me that the audience all have blank stares on their faces, like they have know idea what I'm talking about. I really was nervous about this, I couldn't sleep the night before and I ended up rewriting my talk just 1 hr before, but just ended up throwing it away. I got dressed remembering to make sure I put an extra coating of deodorant on... since I had Emmie, I sweat like a beast, and that is the last thing I would want is Navajo Taco Pits during my talk... drawing more attention to the nervous speaker. I said a little prayer and grabbed my bag and headed out the door.... I still felt like I was missing something, hhmm... Scriptures.. check.. scribbled notes for talk... check... deodorant.. double check... kids are ready and Hubby will bring them over.... check... what could it be, I don't feel right! I went to look in the mirror again and there in horror I saw what I was missing...

MY OVER THE SHOULDER BOULDER HOLDER!!!!

Can you believe I almost went to church and gave a talk to all my neighbors, friends and ward family with out my "holder"?

I can't believe after 24 years of getting up every morning doing the same thing over and over again that on this day I would forget!

Thank goodness for a women's intuition!!

Needless to say I made it through the talk with holder and all!

What the.....?

So I was coming home from my parents house one afternoon and I saw something that just stunned me... OK it really freaked me out!

I came around a corner over by Timpanogas High School and saw a large man that appeared to be biking in the nude. Of course he wasn't but the outfit he was wearing didn't do him justice. No shirt, very tight blue biking shorts, sunglasses, ipod strapped under his "Chest" and no helmet. As I turned the corner this man, probably in his late 40's, suddenly flipped off his bike and landed in the rode. I quickly pulled over and rolled my window down to see if he was alright, this is what happened...

Me... are you all right?

Biker.... AAAGHAAAGH! It hurts oh it hurts.... AAGGHHH, my shoulder, oh, the pain!!!

This freaked me out so I told the kids to stay in the car as I proceeded to cross the street and see if he was OK.

Me... are you OK?

Biker ( now in the fetal position, rocking back and forth)..... UUUGHHH!! No it hurts, oh man, *#@!&%$?, AAAGGHH!

Me... can you get up?

I proceded to lift his bike out of the way...

Biker... I think I can, UUGGHH!! My shoulder...

This man was very dramatic, he then told me this was his first accident ever. If his mom were around and he had a blanky I think he would have been just fine.

Me.. is there some one I can call to help you?

Biker... no, I just started my ride, my wife isn't home. Man..... my shoulder!

Me.. can you move it? Do you think you dislocated it?

Biker... I don't know what that feels like!

(Oh, ya first accident ever)

Anyways long story short my sweetheart of a dad came and saved the day by giving this poor, beat up, first time crashing, shoulder pain, aaaaggghhh, rolling broken man a ride home.

But before my dad showed up in his truck me and the biker had this coinversation..

Biker... did you see it happen?

Me... yes!

Biker... all of it?

Me... yes!

(awkard silence..)

Biker... I don't ussually dress this way... but it was such a nice day I wanted to get some sun..I'm so imbarrassed!

(another awkard silent moment, I think we both were feeling the pain by now..

you see... how do I put this nicely.... My new friend seem to have lost alot of weight, enough that he could have used a "Manzier", he had man boobs)

Me.. Oh you'll laugh about this tomorrow.... (a little laugh, trying to avoid looking)

Biker... no I don't think I will.

To my biker friend where ever you might be... I'm sorry I had to witness the" first time ever crash" and watch a 40 something year old man cry. On a possitive note, It did bring alot of excitement and a little laughter to my day.. at your expense. I thank you for being ever so humble and swallowing your pride to let a girl and her dad help you home. My kids thank you for putting on a darn good show!

After years of asking... Jake finally got his wish. We sent him to the driving range for golf lessons. If you look closely... he is wearing his Sunday Tiger woods red shirt.

These are my favorite Jake comments for the day...

I'm going to be better then Tiger!

I'm going to be a golfer for my job.

I hit the ball 100 yards all the way to the flag...

I hit the tee before the ball.

Mom, I showed the older kid how to hit the ball and he did better!

I need a pitching wedge and a putting wedge.

I wish I could golf all day.

I am going to play Uncle Ryan and beat him.

If I play Tiger and win I could make a million dollars and I would by a big house with a golf course in the back yard!

My response to him... " If you count Tiger Woods 2005 XBOX game, then yes he has."

He laughed and was surprised. He then looked me straight in the eye and said...

"Keep him in the game, he is a natural, at the age of 10 he can join the Jr. PGA Tour"

As a parent, who wouldn't love to hear that about their kid.

ME......ME........ME!!!!!

The next week the same coach came up to me and said...

" We are going to give him the nick name of Tiger, he's a natural..

I'll be watching for him in the future, in High School, College and the US Open."

The cool thing is , is that Jake loves the game... seriously if I have to ground him we take away the clubs... I'm proud of him and I love to watch him swing those clubs!

My baby has graduated from the crib and into a toddler bed. She is very excited to be in a big girl bed, mom is not so. It means she has graduated to the next step in life... TODDLER! She now has freedom to get in bed and out of bed and in again and then out one more time, no wait .......in again, I think......? and we're good....... oh.... what was that (THUMP)? And out again, and back to bed again..... YES,

I think were good !!

Finally she fell asleep!

Em is actually doing great... a few falls out of bed in the night but she's just like her dad... she sleeps through everything!

Parker came and played with Em the following day, remember there is a 1 year age difference... Em is older! These two were having way to much fun on her new bed.

Midnight showing of Indie!!

FIRST IN LINE.......

My Indie adventure begins Wednesday morning. Taylor reminds me of the importance of getting tickets to the midnight showing... I don't think he realizes the importance of this event in my life.... it was on my top priority list for the day.

This theater I went to is run by High School students, I have never seen a real adult there. Not thinking very clearly I was at the ticket booth by 12:00 in the afternoon... duh they are all in school still. But wait at last an adult inside the locked doors..."Hey..." knock, knock, knock...!

The only adult I have ever seen and he is the Janitor!

"Do you know if you are having a midnight showing of Indie?" I ask with eagerness.... I think he could see the excitement I had. I almost felt like one of the crazed Archuleta fans.

"I'm not sure, I think the manager is here let me go see..." he shuts the door and leaves me hanging, waiting, waiting, waiting........

Finally the door opens and the manger pokes his head out the door... He's not more then 19 years old... "I just got the reel, come back about 4:30 and we will let you know"

So after patiently waiting the day out Taylor and I went and bought our 9 needed tickets.

We were the first one's to line up at 11:00 pm, you see you need to go early to get a good seat. We waited that long hour.....

Nick, Taylor, Me, Catherine, Whitney, Austin, Brandon and Jake...

and on the other side of the camera... Mikey!

Remember we went early and were the first in line?

Here is the line at 11:59 pm.... a whole 30 people!

So the lesson learned... you are always guaranteed a seat for any movie at our PG, High School run, cheap ticket theater!

By the way, We loved the new Indiana Jones movie.... I'm going again!

This picture was taken at the top of Angels Landing in Zions National Park. What you don't know is Ron just had eye surgery one month before. He was blind in one eye, he had to prove he could go to the top hanging on a rope from a ledge... not funny! Those who have hiked it will understand.

Funny.. Do we look like a sucker?
The same contractor that came in and made us pay $2000.00 in Remodel fees with approved plans by the city... that ended in double the price he told us and no remodel and basically let us down big time in the long run... gave Ron a call today.
We will call him Mr. "DUH" ... he was wondering if Ron would be interested in making lots of money through real estate. There will be a meeting in the hotel behind Mcgraths Restaurant tonight.

Utah Jazz.....??

WHO???

With yesterdays game I am not quit sure if I know who they are anymore.

Ron always gets me hooked during the playoffs... I know I am hooked when he falls asleep during a game, only because the Jazz are doing so bad, but I am still yelling at the TV and cursing the Ref's, OK.. I really don't curse the Ref's.... maybe not out loud! We were so excited to sit and watch the first game against the Lakers

and all the glitz that seems to come along with a Laker game, I love it when the shot goes to good old Jack Nicholson... I think he really thinks he could jump in at any time and compete with the big boys. I don't know if any of you saw the game but, it was more like a football game at times then basketball...

Mr. Koby Bryant is just to good and he knows it and that drives me crazy and Mr. Fischer drives me crazy.. I will just call him a traitor.

Now with the Jazz.. Mr. K is on fire, while Korver only knows how to foul, but he is pretty nice to look at! I love my Jazz team, I would love to see them win this series...

This really takes a lot out of me to say this and some times I think I am fooling myself?

Come on... do we really think the Jazz will make it to the next round?

La la la la, la la la la Elmo's World....

Emmie loves Elmo!! So we had to have Elmo cupcakes along with her princess cake! I thought they turned out super cute!!

Becky, our family cake decorator, made Emmie her Princess Cake!

This was the first time Em got anything in her ice cream cone. She always just gets a plain cone because of her skin... This was perfect, Becky put cake in the cone! She loved it!! I believe she was singing why she ate it. Thanks Becky!!

Emmie was OK at the beginning of the birthday song , but by the end she hated it! I know it's because of the harmonizing and fabulous singers!

And now she has her very own Bike!
