We thank thee oh God for a Prophet!

Random thoughts of our beloved Prophet, President Gordon B. Hinkley...

1. I heard a story just today that made me think.... President Hinkley is human. He is a dad, grandfather and husband. He to has had worries, doubts and concerns not just for us but for his eternal family. The story is told of the day when he was on his mission. He struggled, it was hard for him, he made a call home and told his dad of his concerns. His sweet dad told President Hinkley, with humor, to... "Forget about yourself and go to work!"

2. Can you imagine the hush and reverance that probably came over heaven as President Hinkley came through the vale? I'm sure it didn't last long. With the overwhelming feelings of happiness and joy, knowing you were home. Again reunited with his Sweetheart!

3. Be Humble, Be Smart, Be Kind, Be Prayerful, Be Patient, Be True

4. We love him and will miss him

I recieved this from a friend and wanted to share it with you...

Prophetic Passing

I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,Yes, running, not waving his cane.

I see him embracing his father and mother

While they keep repeating his name.

I see him now meeting his forebears,Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.

Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service

That only such noble men share.

I see him embraced by the Savior

While Father says, "Good and well done.

So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcomeMy noble, most excellent son."

I then hear the ripples of laughter

As he says the reception's just fine,

But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two

Since there's no need to waste any time.

I can hear his clear voice in the stillness

At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,

Have faith and move forward ? there's work to be done.

President Hinckley would want it that way.
