Once Upon a time....

I went to the YW General Meeting Last night.
If you haven't heard me say this before..... I love Pres. Uchdorf.
His talk was amazing.
He started out by telling the fairy tale stories of Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel.
How each of these princess's had to over come adversity to get to their happily ever after's.
It was powerful and amazing.
....and they lived happily ever after.

Move over 7-11.....

Home made SLURPIES!!!

All you need is sprite and a popsicle.

Mash the popsicle still in the wrapper, of course, using a hammer, pour it in your favorite summer time cup and add a little sprite...Whaalaa.... SLURPIES! I was surprised at how yummy this was!

** We enjoyed this yummy treat after a

YW service Scavenger hunt.

Thanks to one of our YW Leaders for the idea... she is fabulous!

Very cool soap!

YW's (My Church) Was last night and we made these really cool bars of soap!
We took a bar of Ivory soap (because it was flat) and decorated one side of it with stickers, paper, etc. Then dipped the side that was decorated into melted paraffin wax. It gave it a clear seal but still usable.
We thought they would make a great soap to have at girls camp....You know what I mean? The one soap in camp that everyone is afraid of... the one that is hangin' from who know's panty hose, from the faucet? Why not make it more inviting?

Look what I can do.......

Last night was Young Women's. We had the girls make memory boards to hang in their rooms. They all turned so cute! I spent all day trying to find the perfect material for Emmie's room but finally decided to go with the Princess theme, plus the material was sparkelly and that means alot! (I love sparkles!) I am so proud of myself it actually looks very cute in her room! I have left over material so I think my next project will be an accent pillow for her bed... Wow I sound like a little homemaker!
